This is the second novel I have read written by Rosetta J. Jamieson-Thomas and I was not disappointed. I fell in love with the main characters, Vanessa and Moses. The characters in this story came alive for me and I found myself caring about what happened to them. The hardships that they faced on their journey through life are those that many of us face and this book deals with those hardships with sensitivity. I read this book in one day and upon completion I turned to my sister sitting beside me and said "beautiful, beautiful, beautiful". She stared back at me and asked whether it was that good and I said more that good. It took me back to the days when I worked with persons with developmental disabilities and all I could think of was how this book broadened my knowledge of Autism. It is an educational piece of work that depicts many struggles, trial, tribulation, and test ones faith in God. If you are looking for a book that will savory you into dishes of the Caribbean, and reveal a love story of faith, trust, hope, and persistence then you have found the right book. Do as I have done, purchase this book and indulge yourself as you would a piece of expensive chocolate. Read and enjoy as I have.
